peer discussion
Liberty Fellowship introduces bonds that are deep, honest and provide a resource of easy access to natural allies and those whom Fellows would never have encountered in another setting.
Crossing barriers and barbed wire of divergent political, social and ethnic views, Fellows form deep and lasting friendships with peers who often think very differently. Sitting face-to-face for many hours with Fellows who may be polar opposites is invigorating.
To foster scientific discussion and to enhance the effectiveness and transparency of scientific quality assurance, in 2001 Copernicus Publications started with an innovative two-stage publication process, the so called Interactive Public Peer Review TM . The respective journals are comprised of the fully peer-reviewed journal itself and an access-reviewed discussion forum.
In the first stage, manuscripts that pass a streamlined access-review are immediately typeset and published in the discussion forum in our on-screen format optimized for online reading. They then undergo an interactive public discussion, during which the referees’ comments (anonymous or attributed), additional short comments by other members of the scientific community (attributed), and the authors’ replies are published.
A peer-to-peer discussion will be held on a weekly and/or as needed basis for members who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic to share their concerns, ideas, and expectations as we move through this uncharted territory.

With a view to improving the methodology used to collect statistical data on national judicial systems and to homogenize the way countries reply to the evaluation scheme, the CEPEJ has decided, at its 10th plenary meeting (Strasbourg, 5 – 6 December 2007), to implement a pilot co-operation process of peer evaluation.
The objective of the peer evaluation is to reinforce the credibility of the data collected in the framework of the evaluation exercise aimed at European judicial systems. It also also the opportunity for States in which the visits are conducted, to facilitate exchanges of experiences between the national judicial statistics systems, to share good practices and to identify common indicators.
