how to reference another author within a book
NOTE: References must be typed in one of the six approved type faces, and be double spaced.
The format for citing a book chapter is:
Your in-text citation should include both authors: the author(s) of the original source and the author(s) of the secondary source. For example: (Habermehl, 1985, as cited in Kersten, 1987).
Citing a source that you found in another source is known as using a secondary source.
Example 2 Journal article
In the list of references, record the publication you actually sourced.
For each type of source in this guide, both the general form and an example will be provided.

If you use more than one chapter from the edited book, you will need to include a reference on your reference list for each chapter you have used.
